A cold one in San Diego, CA

San Diego, California has only seen eleven days since 1872 where the temperature was at 32F or below.  On this day in 1913, the temperatue in San Diego was a cool 25F in the morning, making this as the coldest day on record for the city.  Many people went to the Fountain Plaza to see ice for the first time.  Some even broke ice from the fountain, wrapped it in paper, and took it home as a souvenir.  (Archives of the Weather Channel)
